The Homeless man: A Simmie St. Cloud Diary entry
The Homeless Man
DEAR DIARY
He's there every morning as I go for a jog, The homeless man.
I have often wanted to stop him and ask his name but he always seems to be busy despite his homelessness.
I have often even found myself wanting to invite him for dinner but I lose the nerve, I am a single sim that knows nothing about this stranger. It isn't safe.
Today though I finally talked to him. His name is Jamison Neito he comes from San Myshuno and he used to have a large house with a large loving family.
He wouldn't tell me what happened to his family but I remember him now. He was the socialite that owned the house on the hill after kicking Willow Creek's wealthiest family out of it. At the time he had more money than even the Landgraabs.
Unlike those families that have their special spot in the Willow Creek society he did not and as such when his multi-million simoleon house went down in flames and his wife disappeared with their children no one came to his aide.
I had friends affected by his greed and ignorance and unwavering concern for no one but himself.
I am lost on what to do, Logically I don't think I need to do anything but my heart would hurt seeing this nameless man with tattered clothing and no home.
Now though I find that the burden is lifted, as it is the case of him reaping what he had sown...but if that is the case what would happen to me if I ignored this man in need despite his flaws?
Would I be no better than him?
I guess I could start small, I am by no means rich but no one is saying I have to give him his fortune back.

UPDATE: 3 Weeks Later
I have decided that I will help this man to the best of my abilities. I tried to give him my father's old fishing pole so that he would have an easier time fishing. He turned it down saying that he couldn't take it from me since it had belonged to my father. Upon my insistence we came to an agreement.
I would leave it on my back porch and anytime he wanted to use it he would just come and get it.
I offered him some clothing but I was met with a severe no. I think his pride is still in there somewhere so I'll just need to tread lightly.
Signed
Simmie St Cloud aka The Happy Samaritan
